Smartsy aimed to simplify content creation for 10.9 million U.S. small businesses, including lawyers, coaches, bakeries, dentists, hair salons, and restaurants. These businesses, active on Instagram, needed a quick and efficient way to create relevant media graphics. The project's goal was to develop an intuitive product that would analyze their Instagram pages and suggest personalized content in just a few clicks. As the lead designer, I led the entire process, from brainstorming and wireframing to prototyping and final product creation. I mentored and briefed illustrators, worked closely with the developer to achieve the best results. We conducted more than 50 user interviews, analyzed more than 500 sessions in FullStory, and conducted 30 additional interviews to clarify user needs. My approach involved a deep understanding of the target audience and their needs, which allowed us to create a product that best met their expectations.
